March 30th - Lawn Care the Zamzows Way - At all 10 Zamzows Locations at 10am

LAWN CARE THE ZAMZOWS WAY - In about one hour we'll cover proper mowing and watering, fertilization, weed, insect, and fungus control, and even how to nourish and protect your trees using Zamzows 1-2 punch! Most importantly we'll teach you how to take care of your own lawn for the entire year using Zamzows Natural Lawn Care Program. It is typically half the cost of using a chemical lawn service!
 



 

April 2nd - Zamzows Rattlesnake Vaccination Clinic (1st of two dates) - Overland Location Only

At the Overland location only from 6-7 pm. Bring your dog down and provide them the protection that could save their life. This treatment is inexpensive (around $35) and if you plan on hiking or camping with your dog this summer, this is the best protection they can get against snake bites. April 6th - Gardening for Beginners from 10am to 11am - At all 10 Zamzows Locations at 10am

GARDEN 101 - In just one hour we'll teach you everything you need to know about how to grow your own fresh vegetables for pennies on the dollar. In our class we will cover: How to properly select seeds for your garden, starting / transplanting your seeds, preparing and fertilizing, prevention of insects, weeds and disease, thining and harvesting, how to properly water your garden, and how to put your garden to bed next Fall.


 



April 6th - Pots for your Porch - The Art of Container Gardening - At all Chinden Location only 11:30 am

How to Plant a Great Container

- Many materials available—plastic, ceramic, terra cotta, metal, wood…anything goes!

- Must have drainage

- Group similar containers together, or let them stand alone

- Small containers tend to dry out more quickly than larger ones


Choosing Good Potting Soil

- Use a good potting soil recommended by your garden center—it does make a difference

- Last year’s soil may be reusable, but only if disease free and in good shape

- You may add materials for their waterretaining properties, but use caution
 

-Fill the bottom of large pots with something light if you want to save soil or avoid very heavy containers

LAWN CARE REHAB CLASS - If your lawn is plagued with problems, this class if for you. In an hour, we will teach you how to treat and prevent lawn fungus, insect damage and weeds. We will show you how to properly water your lawn and how to re-seed. If your lawn looks like it is a battlefield, this is the class for you!
