Why is my Goldfish floating upside down after feeding? If you fish floats upside down after feeding this may be that your fish may have a swim bladder disorder. There really is no cure for this particular ailment and it is not contagious to the other fish. I would recommend feeding your fish in smaller quantities 1-2 times a day with a Koi/Goldfish Pond Pellet food (size appropriate). The pellets are specially formulated for your vegetation adoring fish. They contain very little meat protein, if any, which will make digestion much easier for the goldfish.
