You have designed and set up your pond and stocked it with Koi and other pond fish. One of the first problems you will encounter is how to control nuisance wildlife or birds from eating your fish and destroying your pond.

I have always found it important to keep a well maintained and balanced pond, treating in early spring with an Algae fix, and beneficial bacteria after the water temperature is 55 degrees for a consecutive period of time, and monitor the water for ammonia and PH balance.

This is natural for them (more so for the Koi) as true pond fish are cold blooded creatures.
