Some simple advice for Traveling with Pets

Do you have a product to help animals with traveling?  We are traveling with three pets. Our travel companions are 2 cats and 1 rabbit.  The drive with our pets will be about 7 hours.

Moving can be an extremely anxious time for all involved, including pets. They are some easy and simple steps to make your precious cargo comfortable in the transition. I would highly recommend the use of Pet Crates (small kennels) for traveling.

Each animal should be given their own crate with enough room to comfortably turn their bodies around and stand up. For additional comfort, Zamzows does sell a synthetic feline pheromone spray that has a calming effect on stressed cats called “Quiet Comforts”. Simply spray a blanket on the bottom of the crate with Quiet Comforts 5 minutes prior to placing the cat in the crate. It will provide cats with a sense of safety well being on a long journey.

Rabbits tend not to stress much and can easily be distracted with Timothy Hay cubes or other chewable treats for the road trip.
