Question
I have a tree in my front yard that has turned brown and looks to have dried and cracked (some sort of maple possibly). My neighbor intends to plant new trees in her yard, but is concerned about disease/fungus. Since Zamzows is the experts at diagnosing tree problems I thought you might know the answer to my question. I think the Maple Tree may have just dried out and may or may not recover next year, but my neighbor would like to know before she spends a bunch of money on trees.
Answer
There are few diseases that would transfer from one tree to another. Even if your tree didn't have a problem the chances of your neighbors tree getting a problem are exactly the same. I wouldn't let some one elses stuff inhibit me from buying and planting a tree or shrub. There are some things you can do to increase your trees chances for succes, like proper planting and fertilizer (
Zamzows Thrive) and taking steps to prevent bugs (
Zamzows Tree and Shrub). Hope this helps.
