Many consider the “Knock out” rose to be one of the best shrub roses available. In 2000 it won the AARS top honors and has proven to be a very versatile plant. It grows well in containers as well as boarders, and as a cover for large beds. It has a high disease resistance and virtually immune to black spot and mildew. They are not picky about pruning either, a pair of sharp hedge shears will usually do the trick. “Knock outs” will have an abundance of flowers all year up until frost. They are self cleaning so you don’t need to dead head. The flowers have a light sweet fragrance.
The Drift series of groundcover roses keep a low profile in the garden while shinning with continual bloom from spring to frost. The disease resistance and hardiness of this rose has come with many years of breeding for the best possible result. The Drift roses are tough!
The Star Shrub roses are a patented group of midsized ever blooming roses selected, also, for disease resistance, performance and ease of care. There is a color of Shrub rose to compliment any garden setting.
New varieties of “Grandma “and” Moms” roses are more hardy to low temperatures, more disease resistant with the same beauty and fragrance you remember in their rose gardens. Attributes of these traditional rose varieties have been selected for years to produce a plant that exceeds expectation but at the same time retains the qualities that made you like roses in from the start. Spend the afternoon in the garden with such varieties as ‘Queen Elizabeth’, ‘Mister Lincoln’ and ‘Betty White’ and be in good company.
