How to prevent and treat pond fish diseases.

I have always found it important to keep a well maintained and balanced pond, treating in early spring with an Algae fix, and beneficial bacteria after the water temperature is 55 degrees for a consecutive period of time, and monitor the water for ammonia and PH balance. I have found once the temperature has reached above 55 degrees for about 10 days consecutively it is time to start with spring feeding and restarting your pond.

There are times when your pond gets out of balance, so the questions I ask are how big is your pond, how many fish are in it, and what kind of filtering system are you using.
